What is digital forensics triage?
Forensic triage is the practice of searching an exhibit in the field or lab to determine its priority in an investigation. It can be applied to narrow down the scope of investigation by filtering the irrelevant data and also helping the front-line investigators by collecting the data in a forensically secure manner.
How do front-line investigators make use of triaging solutions?
Triage solutions from Evidence Talks allows the experienced forensic investigators to configure the profiles on the collector’s disks where they can pre-configure everything like deleted data collection, email acquisitions, specific files etc. These collectors are then handed over to the front-line investigators who connect these disks to the exhibits and starts collecting the data automatically.
